    A weekend in the country2005-11-17
We rented a cottage with some friends for a long weekend in West Devon and Cornwall. The trip was based around visiting the Eden project but Greg took three days off work so we could have a really good break. This was our first real holiday with Georgia. [more...]

    Paris, France2004-03-29
Greg took me away on a birthday trip to Paris for 3 days :) We had such a wonderful time. The weather was stunning for all three days we were there. We got in early on Monday morning and checked into our hotel. The funny thing is, that it was exactly the same hotel we'd stayed in on our trip 3 years ago. Our room wasn't quite ready for us, so we popped into a local café and despite the staff speaking no English managed to order two coffees which turned out to be the best we had while we were there. South Devon and Stonehenge2004-01-15
This trip was to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Greg and I decided not to travel to Europe, as it has been freezing. We'll save those trips for later in the year when the weather is warmer. Somewhere in England, not too far a drive, where we could retreat for the weekend and enjoy some R&R was definitely what we had in mind. Greg chose South Devon, which was just lovely. He chose a gorgeous olde world thatched roof hotel in a little village called Ottery St Mary. He got it right first time with this choice. It was so lovely, we decided to stay all three nights. It was a real treat for me, my first time in a four poster bed! [more...]
    Day Trip To Brighton2003-11-05
Jani, Emiel and I drove to Brighton for the day. The journey was pretty relaxed, we stuck to the main motorway on the way there, so not very scenic, but certainly quick. A quick stop at one of the many motorway conveniences and a full english brekkie later, we were off to Brighton City - the city on the sea. [more...]

    Brighton2001-02-24
We stayed at a nice hotel called The Royal Albion Hotel overlooking the Brighton Pier. It was a really central location, which made it easy to walk around the city centre, pier and lanes. It was also a nice treat to have a spa bath in our room!

After arriving and settling into the hotel. We had an explore along the beach. Which I was surprised to find, wasn't a sandy beach, but a pebbly one. I had some fun taking 'arty' shots of the stones. That was until it started to snow! There we were walking along the beach and it's snowing! [more...]

    Bath2001-01-14
We took a train from Paddington Station to Bath. It was a lovely way to travel, and the scenery was so green and lush, such a nice change from big city London. It was a short walk from the train station into the town. We found a funky little café on the way where we stopped and had some brunch. We checked into the Queensberry Hotel and dropped off our bags. We started walking around the heritage trail and visited the Art Gallery, Pulteney Bridge. We finished the day with dinner at the hotel's Olive Tree Restaurant.
    Bourg St Maurice, French Alps2000-12-01
A New Years train trip to the French Alps with Heidi and Matt. There was snow and French stuff and Matthew and Greg made the mistake of having Cheese Fondue the night before a long trip back on the train - talk about whiffy…
